Established country music singer/songwriter John Adam Murph is no stranger to the stage. He began performing at the age of 6 winning a talent contest in Montgomery, Alabama. At the age 10 Murph's family relocated to Georgia where he developed a major interest in playing the drums, as an early teen, Murph played with many local bands as a drummer/singer.
Murph would soon lay down his drum sticks for a guitar. With just a dream to go on, Murph began playing clubs and festivals in Atlanta, GA after taking a short break to pursue a business opportunity in Montgomery, AL. Murph was unable to suppress the desire to take the stage. Two years prior to date, Murph hit the ground running. Within the last two years, Murph has won two Battle of the Bands concerts in Atlanta, GA and Montgomery, AL. He was also the only unsigned artist to headline at Zoofest, a major outdoor festival in AL. Murph then went on to play at Jubilee City Fest, and many other festivals throughout the South.
Murph has opened for artists such as; Jo Dee Messina, David Alan Coe, and Steve Azar. With the success he began to acquire, he was invited to play at the GeorgianaTheater on the stage where Hank Williams frequented. His stage appearances helped to pave the way for radio gigs.
Murph was put in rotation for radio stations 92.3 and Dixie 100. Following airplay, he also gave a live interview on the station The Big 98 in Florida.
